The recently announced PlayTV accessory brings the PlayStation 3 one step closer to a convergent home multimedia center. PlayTV is a twin-channel tuner peripheral with DVR support, so TV shows can be recorded directly the Play Station 3 hard disk drive, and stored for later viewing, or just for posterity.
