The recently announced PlayTV accessory brings the PlayStation 3 one step closer to a convergent home multimedia center. PlayTV is a twin-channel tuner peripheral with DVR support, so TV shows can be recorded directly the Play Station 3 hard disk drive, and stored for later viewing, or just for posterity. The recorded programs can then be sent to the PlayStation Portable, where they can be viewed on the go. PlayTV is planned for launch in 2008. More
